Kaleidoscope (the “App”) is provided by E13Lau. We collect only what is needed to run the service and improve the product.
Data we collect
Device identifier: a random device ID (UUID) generated on first launch to recognise your anonymous account. It is not the advertising identifier (IDFA).
Device and app info: app version, OS version, device model and language. Country is inferred server-side from the network request; we do not collect precise location.
Usage events: first open, session start, onboarding steps, paywall views and dismissals, purchase and restore results, sign-in method, and the App’s own core-action events.
Account info: if you choose Sign in with Apple we receive Apple’s stable user identifier. We do not receive your real name or email unless you choose to share them in Apple’s sheet.
Purchase info: subscription and transaction status come from the Apple App Store. We store product IDs and subscription state; we never see your payment details.
How we use it
To provide your entitlements, understand feature usage and conversion, diagnose problems and improve the product. We do not sell your data.
Retention and deletion
You can delete your account inside the App or email [email protected]. Once your account is deleted, your account, device, subscription and transaction records, and the usage events in our server database, are deleted immediately.
To measure product usage, usage events are also written to the Cloudflare Analytics Engine statistics store. These events cannot be deleted one by one; they expire and are deleted automatically about 3 months (90 days) after they are written.
These statistics events contain the event name, country, session ID, acquisition source and event properties, linked by a randomly generated user identifier. They contain no direct identifiers such as name or email, but they are not fully anonymous.
Cloudflare acts as a data processor hosting this data on our behalf.
Third parties
Data is hosted on Cloudflare infrastructure; purchases are processed by Apple.
